Can't agree with that sentiment more. I have been uncovering beautiful marble tile and a perfectly good mirror that has been buried under 30 layer for paint for half a century.
I'm thinking about putting a sign by the fireplace when I am done for future homeowners to let them know that if they ever paint this woodwork, I will haunt the house until it is undone again.
